Kristen Cook, MD
Pediatrician and Mama
Hi I'm Dr. Kristen Cook! I am a pediatrician, mommy, wife, author and strong believer that parents can change the world.
I graduated Summa Cum Laude from Marquette University with a B.S. in Biomedical Sciences and a minor in Psychology. I then went to Creighton University Medical School, where I earned my Medical Doctor degree and graduated with honors. After medical school, I spent three years in a pediatric residency program at Children's Hospital of Wisconsin. I have been in private practice for the past 11 years, and have had the honor of providing high-quality medical care to tens of thousands of children during my career. In fact, many of my former patients have grown up, had babies, and now have me as a second-generation pediatrician. Dang, that makes me feel old!
I married my husband, Chad, in 2010. We have two awesome, funny, strong-willed, keep-us-on-our-toes children; Mason is 9 years old and Savannah is 6 years old. We currently call Northern Illinois home. We love to travel, all things Disney, spending time with family and friends, and rooting for our favorite sports teams.
No matter your background, no matter your past, I truly believe that every single parent can develop the tools and the skills that they need to not only be a great parent, but the best version of themselves as well. If you are looking to improve your parenting skills, to improve your life, or if you simply want to understand that you are not alone on your parenting journey, I am here for you.
